VBI Line Blanking Filter
The issue of ownership of the video blanking interval in a cable television channel has become a somewhat contentious issue. For those operators wishing to clean up VBI information transmitted by programmers and broadcasters, Arcom offers a very compact and effective solution. Previously, VBI line blanking filters were available only in 19 inch rack mounted units. The Arcom approach puts the circuitry in a standard trap type housing. Power is provided from a power insertion splitter. The unit is then simply screwed onto the video input of the modulator – a very clean and rack efficient solution.
